Austin Comming Together _ 5yr Luncheon


Austin Coming Together celebrated 5 years of leadership and proactive community building on Friday, June 26, 2015 at El Palais Bu-Sché Banquet Hall, 4628 W. Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60644 by having an awards luncheon. The ceremony began with soulful choir selections performed by Chicago West Community Music Center, an organization that provides youth with education and training in the arts.

The awardees received recognition for their bold goals and diligent efforts in uplifting the Austin community. Bradly Johnson, Community Relations Manager at St. Joseph Services, received the Youth Development Award, Kendall Reid, Office Director at Kingdom Community Incorporated, received the Built Environment Award, Jacqueline Adams, Associate Director at Mary Crane Center, received the Early Childhood Award and Erica Swinney, Program Manager at Manufacturing Renaissance, received the Workforce Development Award.

Keynote speaker, Reverend Reginald L. Bachus, gave a rousing address highlighting the tremendous impact made by the change agents of Austin Coming Together. He discussed goals that are in motion for the future and inspired all in attendance to continue thinking of strategic ways to enrich the community.
